parking
The Town Hall car park is ideally reserved for disabled patrons and members of the theatre company and theatre staff, however not guaranteed. Visitors can park on the High Street and all adjacent streets. There is also a small public car parking area at the front of the Town Hall, parking available on the High Street or in the unrestricted Ivegate or Silver Lane car parks both situated less than a three minute walk away.
For some events, users might make the Morrisons Car Park available for their patrons. Yeadon Town Hall CIC can not be held responsible for anyone who receives a parking fine as a result of parking there and we recommend finding an alternative place to park.

ACCESS
The Box Office, Airedale Room and Wharfedale Room are situated on the ground floor, accessible via the rear of the building. The stalls of our Main Auditorium are accessed via two flights of stairs (24 steps in total) or via a small passenger lift towards the rear of the building.
All other areas of the auditorium can only be accessed using stairs and unfortunately there is no lift to the balcony.
ASSISTANCE FOR DEAF & HARD OF HEARING
Our Main Auditorium is equipped with a loop system. Please switch your hearing device to the appropriate setting to make use of this facility.
GUIDE & HEARING DOGS
Guide dogs and Hearing dogs are welcome at the Town Hall. They may sit with you in the auditorium, or our Front of House team (or the Theatre Manager!) would love to look after them whilst you enjoy the performance.
AGE GUIDANCE
POLICy
Yeadon Town Hall – Age Guidance Policy
Yeadon Town Hall welcomes audiences of all ages. Some performances may carry specific age guidance, which will be clearly stated at the time of booking. Unless otherwise advertised:
-
We do not advise that children under 16 years attend our theatres without a responsible adult (over 18). The Venue accepts no responsibility for any unaccompanied children under 18 years of age.
-
Babies and children under 2 are not admitted to performances unless the show is specifically designed for that age group.
-
Children must be able to sit in their own seat and enjoy the performance without disturbing those around them.
-
Age guidance is provided by the producers and is advisory only. It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to decide if a performance is suitable for their child.
-
Under licensing laws, alcohol may only be purchased and consumed by those aged 18 and over. Proof of age may be requested at any time.
We reserve the right to refuse admission if age restrictions are not adhered to.
Accessibility TOILETS
There are currently two accessible toilets in the building: One on the ground floor, near the Box Office, and one on the first floor (behind the stage.)
WHEELCHAIR ACCESS & SEATING
Due to the flexible nature of the seating, it is possible to fit a maximum of two wheel chairs in the auditorium, with up to four spaces available on arrangement with the venue director.

Yeadon Town Hall Theatre is committed to ensuring that all guests can fully enjoy our performances.

Please call our box office directly on 0113 4606782 to discuss your requirements, disability seating.
CARERs' DISCOUNT POLICY
Yeadon Town Hall Theatre operates as an independent venue and is proud to serve as custodian of the historic Yeadon Town Hall.
As a small Victorian theatre, we face significant challenges with running costs and the limitations of our historic building. We value and support carers in our community, but due to repeated misuse and abuse of the carer’s policy, we have regrettably had to suspend the scheme; we are not able to offer carers’ discounts at this time. We remain committed to making our events as accessible and welcoming as possible and will continue to review ways to provide fair support in the future.

Building Access
-
Our main hall is located on the first floor.
-
Access is via 24 internal stairs or 1 external staircase.
-
A lift is available, with step free access, for patrons who require it.
Important Safety Information
-
Please note: the lift cannot be used in the event of a fire or emergency evacuation.
-
We must ask patrons to let us know in advance if their mobility would prevent them from exiting the building in this way. This helps us plan appropriately for everyone’s safety.
Wheelchair Accessibility
-
Due to the layout of the building and evacuation requirements, we can accommodate a maximum of two wheelchair users per performance.
-
We recommend booking early to secure these spaces.
Discounts & Group Bookings
-
While we cannot offer a dedicated carers’ discount, we encourage patrons to contact us directly about group bookings, as discounts may be available depending on the size and nature of the booking.
Policy Review
This policy, along with all our accessibility arrangements, is reviewed regularly. Any updates will be published on our website.
