Sprucing up backstage!

Updated: Feb 9, 2021

During the COVID-19 lockdown, I've taken the opportunity to respray the stage area backstage, which was desperate for some TLC. I purchased a Wagner airless sprayer from eBay and I'm really pleased with the results! It's one of those jobs that needs doing every other year as the walls get a lot of hammer and abuse!

These walls are desperate for re-plastering but unfortunately we don't have the funds to spend on refurbishing these areas at the moment. Over the past few months, I've developed a way to secure the crumbling plasterwork using a product called "Limelite Easy Bond". It's a breathable, lime-based solution that hardens up crumbling walls, whilst allowing the wall to breathe. It's easy to apply; I just use a Hozelock sprayer bottle - the type you might use in the garden. It dries in a few hours and means the walls are ready to paint the following day.
